The aim of our walking tours is to make you discover and experience our city through the eyes of an insider and to be informed by a native Hungarian about the past and current affairs of the city. We’d like to tell you all the history behind our bridges, buildings and statues, but most importantly I would like you to have fun and return home from Hungary with great memories.
Your walking tour begins at Deák tér in front of the Lutheran Church from where you take a ride to Hero’s Square by the Millennium Underground.

From here you’ll walk through the magnificent leafy area of City Park to visit Vajdahunyad Castle and you’ll stop off and peek inside to Szechenyi Baths to learn about the amazing bath culture of Budapest.
After you’ll take the Millennium Metro back towards the city center and stop off at Opera House where you’ll hear about the birth of the major thoroughfare Andrássy avenue and the Opera house.
Then, you’ ll go on to see the nearby St. Stephen Basilica ( outside only) before taking a break in a café for a traditional dessert&coffee (included in the tour).
After the break, you head up to Liberty square and to the Parliament building.
On the way you will learn about the early communist era of Hungary and some first hand account of the late so called „soft” goulash communsit experiences.
At the Parliament Here you’ll enjoy the splendid view of the UNESCO World Heritage panorama with Buda Castle, Matthias Church, Royal Palace and Gellert Hill with the Citadel.
