Book this tour to explore Krakow's most famous areas in one comprehensive tour: the Wawel Hill, the Historical Center and the Jewish District - Kazimierz

The Greatest Hits of Krakow.

The tour provides a comprehensive and entertaining insight into the city's history and modern life. A licensed local tour guide will strive to demonstrate the essence of Krakow, offering insights into its past and present.

We chose the meeting point at the foot of Wawel Hill to make it most convenient for you. In the next 4 hours after meeting with the tour guide, you will explore the city's most popular parts. First, we will climb to Wawel Castle, and after we have explored the royal cathedral and the royal courtyard, we will go to Main Market Square. We'll pass by all the famous landmarks like the Collegium Maius, Cloth Hall, Town Hall Tower, and St. Mary's Basilica. Along the way, you will learn some essential historical facts. But also hear some fascinating stories about Copernicus, Pope John Paul II, and a famous rabbi – Remuh. And, of course, you will listen to local anecdotes you wouldn't find in travel guides.

After a short break in the city center, we'll walk toward the former Jewish district of Kazimierz. It was established in the Middle Ages as a separate town, inhabited mainly by Jews who fled persecution in Western Europe. Gradually, it became one of Europe's major centers of Jewish culture. It is also where Steven Spielberg filmed parts of the famous Schindler's List movie.

This part of the city deserves a separate tour, but you will get general knowledge about the neighborhood as part of this tour.

The tour will end in the Catholic part of Kazimierz, at Wolnica Square. This is a great place for different options to continue exploring the city: grab a local lunch at one of many delicious places in Kasimersz, or return to the city center following Krakowska street (about a 10-minute walk), or stroll along the picturesque Vistula River bank, back to Wawel Hill, which will take a bit longer.
